Four episodes, four chilling and mysterious events linked to a house with a curse. A police inspector who investigates the strange occurrences eventually discovers their origin and reason, but he too is destined for a terrible end... Written by Robert Bloch and starring some iconic horror actors from the 1960s/70s like Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, "The House that Dripped Blood" is an effective horror film with all the "classic" elements of English gothic tradition (cursed houses, ghosts, vampires, etc.). A good pace, rather rare for an English horror film from the seventies, and a decent suspense make the movie enjoyable and easy to watch. Recommended.
