Directed by a veteran of 1960s horror and starring Vincent Price, an iconic actor of this genre between the 1960s and 1970s, "House on Haunted Hill" (original title) is yet another example that miraculous special effects or rivers of blood are not needed to create a successful and scary horror film. A great Price, with his unmistakable theatrical style, adds an extra touch to the film. Recommended.
