HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK

The story revolves around the murder of some young people by two psychopaths and the atrocious revenge of the parents of these. Remake "bread and salami" of the famous film by Wes Craven "The Last House on the Left" (1972). Deodato tries to exploit the idea of the director of "Nightmare on Elm street" hoping to attract forgetful viewers and counting on the fact that the original had a bad distribution in Italy. The title of the film is halfway between the Evil Dead style ("La Casa 3", "La Casa 4" etc.) and the Fulciano ("Quella villa accanto al cimitero") and strongly recalls the slasher movies of more famous productions. Endless blood, useless doses of terror mixed with some breasts or buttocks of some voluptuous victim; good the performance of Giovanni Lombardo Radice (true star of low-budget horror cinema) but David Hess is bad. In short, the film is little involving: at the beginning you "can watch" but in the course of the film the doses of boredom and the repetitive music of Ortolani ruin everything.
