The film takes place in a small town in Spain: a young deaf-mute woman, raped by a prisoner, gives birth to a child who is adopted by a scholar; as he grows up, the young man is affected by lycanthropy and kills mercilessly during his terrible crises. After "Dracula" and "The Mummy", Fisher decides to tackle the myth of the Wolf Man by crafting a decent horror film enhanced by the excellent performance of the great Oliver Reed.
