•A successful lawyer has a car accident in which he hits an old gypsy woman. Thanks to the complicity of the judge and the local police, he gets a total acquittal, but the real punishment for him and for those who helped him get away with it will be worse than any other penalty: a gypsy curse falls upon them, causing them terrible suffering. The film, distributed in Italy only for the home video market, is directed by the "specialist" Tom Holland ("Child's Play", "Fright Night") and is based on one of King's countless stories. Diligent performances, "school-like" direction for a decent horror, quite fluid and engaging, but with little suspense and not at all "scary". The viewing of the film leaves little, but at least it avoids boring or annoying, unlike other, more famous, cinematic adaptations of King's stories (see "Pet Sematary"). One last curiosity: as often happens in films based on his novels, Stephen King himself appears in a small cameo playing the role of the town's pharmacist.
