Peter, an American writer, is looking for a young surfer who disappeared at sea. He decides to get help from Ron, a Scottish sailor who knows those waters like the back of his hand. The two will make a terrible discovery: a terrible and gigantic shark has decided to make the bay its hunting ground. Shameless "copy" of the much more famous "Jaws" by Spielberg. Despite everything, the film is quite smooth and even exciting at times thanks to decent special effects. It's a shame that on television they almost always show the censored version. Curiosity: Castellari's film was also released in American theaters and in the first days of programming had an unexpected and enormous success that even led Spielberg's lawyers to try to block its distribution.
