After Charles Forsyth was sent to the electric chair for a crime he didn't commit, he forever haunts the prison where he was executed. Flash forward several years when the prison is reopened, under the control of its new warden Eaton Sharpe, a former security guard who framed Charlie. When prisoners are ordered to break down the wall to the execution room, they unknowingly release the angry spirit of Charles Forsyth, a powerful being distributing his murderous rage to all, leading up to the Warden himself.

A prison is reopened after several years of closure. The prison's management is entrusted to Ethan Scarpe, a real torturer, responsible in the past for the death of many inmates. From the depths of the prison awakens the Kana, a sort of spirit of Evil, summoned by the hatred of prisoners unjustly executed. A prison is not exactly the ideal setting for a horror movie, and this is felt throughout the film, which is already dull and uninvolving. A few good "semi-splatter" sequences and little else; the film's protagonist is Kane Hodder, the Jason Voorhees of "Friday the 13th" parts 7 and 8.
