Desperate for a job to help him support his family, Jim Norman takes a position teaching high school in the town where his brother was murdered in front of him by teenage bullies twenty-seven years before. The teens who committed the crime are long dead, but now the kids in Jim's new class keep dying and being replaced by new students who look like the deceased hoodlums.

Un insegnante torna al suo paese natale dove ricomincia ad insegnare nella scuola locale; gli viene affidata però una classe “particolare”: tre dei suoi alunni infatti, che risultano morti sotto un treno, invece imperversano a scuola terrorizzando studenti e docenti. Ci penserà lo stesso insegnate, che ha un conto in sospeso con i tre, a toglierli di mezzo una volta per tutte. Ennesima pellicola tratta da uno degli innumerevoli racconti di King. Mediocre la regia, mediocri gli attori e mediocre la sceneggiatura: in definitiva evitabilissimo anche perché privo di scene truculente. Adatto solo ai fan più accaniti dello scrittore americano.
