Vampires have always roamed the earth, organized in a true hierarchy and have reached top positions within human society. Until now, they have lived in the shadows, trying to go unnoticed, but things are destined to change: the creatures of the night, in fact, have decided to subjugate humanity to their will to use humans as food or slaves. To save the world from this calamity, there will be Blade, a being half-man half-vampire, whose mother was bitten by a vampire while she was pregnant and, for this reason, died after giving birth. Now Blade wants to take revenge and free the world from vampires. An action-horror film with an adrenaline-fueled pace that winks at the action cinema of recent years. The protagonist is Wesley Snipes, and this should be enough to understand that the acting level is rather low, not to mention the lines they make him say, such as: "Tonight there's something worse than vampires out there, there's me" - things to make your skin crawl! But from this kind of movie, isn't it legitimate to expect more? The plot (based on a famous Marvel comic) is quite intriguing, the special effects good and, for once, the blood flows copiously. It's more of an action movie than a horror, certainly entertaining and fluid, but really of little substance.
