The malevolent giant Tall Man is back, continues to exhume bodies to turn them into zombies to sow panic all along the West Coast. But it will be Mike and Reggie, the young men already seen in the previous chapters, who will stop him once and for all. It is not clear if Coscarelli, first with "Phantasm II" and then with this third chapter, wanted to direct sequels or rather - incoherent - remakes of his 1978 film... It is only known that the more the sagas go on, the more they lose their charm, originality, and quality, and this "Phantasm III" fully complies with the rule. Any further comment therefore seems superfluous and the rating given is amply deserved! Only the good performance of Angus Scrimm, once again in the role of the wicked Tall Man, deserves to be saved.
