A group of young people finds, trapped in the ice, a mask that awakens some terrible forces of evil... It's unclear how Lamberto Bava came up with the idea of directing this sort of remake of one of his father Mario's most successful and brilliant films. Actors among the worst that cinema remembers (among others the "poor" Soavi), a screenplay that seems written by a madman or a drunk, and a ridiculous setting, all directed in a rather approximate manner. The only decent thing is the makeup effects curated by Sergio Stivaletti; if, despite what has been said, someone still hasn't been convinced to avoid watching this film, it's enough to add that the role that was Barbara Steele's in this remake is "usurped" by Eva Grimaldi, what else to say! Poor Mario, he will turn in his grave!
