•A man, a successful writer, uses a pseudonym to sign his books with violent and erotic content. In the writer's mind, two personalities begin to form, also due to a trauma experienced at the time of birth. Romero directs a film adapted from a Stephen King story, one would expect a masterpiece and instead one finds oneself in front of a nearly bad film. The protagonist, Timothy Hutton, is mediocre and absolutely unsuited to the role, the development of the story is slow and cumbersome and no sequence manages to convey anxiety or fear. Curiosity: Romero is not entirely to blame for this "flop", it should be noted that Orion, the film's production company, goes bankrupt halfway through filming and this forced the director to revise some of his choices and change part of the screenplay, also under the pressure of the new distribution company that acquired the film rights.
