Four young people, two girls and two boys, go to the uninhabited island of Snape to spend a quiet night; they are found a few days later massacred, the only survivor is in such a state of shock that she cannot even speak anymore. Meanwhile, some remains of an ancient Phoenician civilization are found on the spot, so a group of researchers and archaeologists decides to stay on the island to analyze the findings. One by one they start dying, it seems that the deaths are linked to an ancient curse of a Phoenician Deity but the truth is another... The reason why the Italian distribution decided to change the title of the film from "Tower of Evil" (The Devil's Tower) to the absurd "Why the Phoenician God Continues to Kill?" will remain a mystery; the fact is that we are faced with yet another horror without infamy or praise. Several gore scenes, several female nudity more or less revealed (just to attract a bit of male audience...), the usual plot that goes from the "supernatural" to then reveal a reality and a truth absolutely "earthly"; in short, nothing new and therefore absolutely negligible.
