•Russell Square station in London holds a sad record: many passengers have mysteriously disappeared without a trace. The police are in the dark, the only one who understands that he is facing something inhuman is the detective in charge of the investigation... Directed by a genre specialist (Gary Sherman, who in the eighties made the excellent "Dead & Buried") and starring the famous Donald Pleasence, "Don't Take That Tube" (title "invented" by the Italian distributor) is a wasted opportunity. With a fairly decent cast (in addition to Pleasence, it is worth mentioning the presence of the indomitable Christopher Lee, in a small cameo) and a rather original screenplay, Sherman could have made a much better film. It is not a trash product but a horror that does not exceed sufficiency, mainly due to the slow pace and the evident limits due to the low budget. If you happen to come across it you can give it a look but I do not recommend spending time looking for it or buying it. It is recently available again in the Avofilm catalog.
