A young woman left her family for an unspecified reason. The husband determines to find out the truth and starts following his wife. At first, he suspects that a man is involved. But gradually, he finds out more and more strange behaviors and bizarre incidents that indicate something more than a possessed love affair.

The husband of a couple in crisis discovers that his wife has two lovers: one is a man while the second is a tentacled creature that the woman has created with her own mind. Strange film that, after a dramatic movie start, turns for a few moments into almost gore horror (heads cut off in the refrigerator and other amenities) and cronenberghian regarding at least the monstrous creature. Special effects by Carlo Rambaldi. Excellent the pair of lead actors Sam Neill («The Seme of Madness», «Point of no Return») and Isabelle Adjani («Nosferatu» by Herzog).
