A young man is locked in an asylum after suffering the shock of his parents' violent death. He will become a killer driven by his mother's ghost. Produced by Claudio Argento, the film is a perfect portrayal of the deepest human anxieties seen through the eyes of blood and cruelty. Masterfully interpreted by the director himself, the film's only flaw is a certain narrative slowness in the central part; it also features excellent splatter sequences, with particular mention to the one where we witness the brutal death of the protagonist's parents. A strange film that is either loved or hated, but never leaves one indifferent.
