A reckless scientist creates a monster: by bombarding a tarantula with atomic radiation, he disproportionately increases its size until it becomes an enormous, seemingly indestructible monster capable of razing entire cities. In the end, the threat is neutralized by the military aviation. One of the most famous fanta-horror films of the fifties. Appreciable and absolutely entertaining in its simplicity and enjoyment as a classic B-movie; the dated special effects, in a certain sense, enhance its charm and elevate it to the status of a cult of the genre. Worth watching.
