A man receives a package from Europe from some of his ancestors, whose existence he was unaware of. In the heavy box there is a letter and two bottles containing a strange red liquid, apparently liqueur. From the moment the man tastes the contents of the bottles, his behavior begins to change: he no longer goes to work, only goes out at night, neglects his young wife. A terrible curse has fallen upon him... The American father of splatter H.G. Lewis measures up to the myth of Count Dracula and vampires in general. Seems distant the desire to surprise and the taste for excess that had characterized his first films ("2000 Maniacs", "Blood Feast"), in this case Lewis crafts a "classic" horror in the style of Hammer, even if at least he maintains a certain originality in the plot. Avoidable. The film (like all the director's films) is only available in the original subtitled version.
