A man is haunted by a nightmare: every night he dreams of an old witch boiling his head in a cauldron. He decides to spend a vacation at a countryside estate to relax, but as soon as he arrives, mysterious and terrible blood-soaked events begin to unfold. This film is part of the series of TV movies produced by Reteitalia in the horror cycle dedicated to "cursed houses." It is a classic low-budget Italian horror film: a few good splatter sequences but the usual shortcomings in script and especially in acting. To be fair, the film does manage to deliver some genuine scares and unsettling scenes - such as the appearances and murders by the wicked witch - and remains superior to the dreadful "La Casa delle Anime Erranti," which Lenzi also directed for the same TV movie series. The music is composed by none other than Claudio Simonetti, who, for this occasion, uses the pseudonym Claude King.
