As Chianese
•In a campsite in the United States, a multinational company illegally dumps radioactive waste into the ground, causing mutations in the roots of the trees that begin to claim victims among the unsuspecting campers. After some atrocious murders, the authorities finally decide to intervene... Film produced by Aristide Massaccesi (the great Joe D'Amato) with his company FilMirage, for the second horror direction by Fabrizio Laurenti. The actors (Mary Sellers, Jason Saucier, and Bubba Reeves) perform without enthusiasm, as if they didn't even believe in the film's plot themselves, and Laurenti's direction (usually meticulous and solid) doesn't shine either. Throughout the film, there is only one excellent gore scene: the roots that sprout bloodied from the orbits of a poor soul, frankly a bit little. Influencing the rating are also the bulldozers that appear at the end of the film: clearly and obviously clumsy models. In short, a missed opportunity from which one couldn't expect more, given that the means and ideas are from commercial cinema, for some, B-movies. A small curiosity: the film has four different titles because in the USA it was released as "Contamination Point 7" but then, to exploit a certain apocryphal production by D'Amato, it was preferred to redistribute it as "Troll 3", in our country there is only one VHS version with the title "Radici Assassine" in other countries, however, the VHS is called "Creepers".
