Do not be fooled by appearances, this is not the usual teen-horror with few pretensions, produced and packaged specifically to please American teenagers. "Final Destination" is one of the most original horror-thrillers of recent years: fast pace, suspense from start to finish, brilliant ideas, "original killings" and "jump out of your seat" sequences (in the true sense of the word!) will keep you glued to the screen for the entire duration of the film; it does not even lack - rather rare in recent American horror productions - some violent and rather "strong" sequences. Really a surprise, from the director of "X-files - the movie", the film was a box office hit in the USA and, for once, with good reason.
Curiosity: in the cast there is a brief appearance of Tony Todd, protagonist of the "Candyman" series and the Savini remake of "The Night of the Living Dead".
The surnames of the film's characters are those of great genre directors of the past, starting with the protagonist whose surname is Browning; a small tribute that the screenwriter wanted to pay to the great directors of thrills of the past.
