A masked serial killer with psychosexual issues strangles female coeds with scarves before dismembering them. When a wealthy student identifies one of the scarves and thinks she has a lead on a suspect, she becomes the killer's next target, retreating to her family's remote cliffside villa with three of her girlfriends.

The Verdict

A mysterious sexual maniac spreads panic among the students of the University of Perugia. Some friends, worried about the situation, decide to leave the city to take refuge in an isolated country villa; bad idea since the killer follows them and begins to kill them one by one… Along with "All the Colors of the Dark," the best film by Martino. A horrifying giallo that closely resembles those of the "master" Dario Argento, presenting all the best characteristics of this genre: violent murders, suspense, mysterious killer whose identity is unknown until the end. Engaging, well-acted, decently directed, not to be missed especially for fans of Italian giallo-horror. For years unavailable for sale, a VHS reissue has recently been released.
