After several mysterious disappearances of human organs in a large hospital, a team of doctors organizes an expedition to the Molucca archipelago in search of an explanation. They will encounter, however, a mysterious doctor, who awaits them to help with the research, and above all a horde of hungry zombies. Also known by other titles (including "The Queen of Cannibals"), the one in question is one of the few acceptable films born in the wake of Romero's Zombies. Classic film daughter of the "zombo-cannibal" tradition and Italian splatter of the seventies, and for this reason it is certainly not necessary to say that the level of acting and screenplay (elements "almost superfluous" in films of this genre) are quite poor. Scenes of cannibalism, dismemberment, brain operations and many other splatter sequences are the best this film has to offer, certainly capable of making fans of the genre happy. In the American version, some unpublished sequences filmed in a hospital, with a young Wes Craven as the protagonist, were inserted.
